Registering to bid is free. Before you can bid at any auction you must fill a Buyer Registration Card which is available in the main foyer. Alternatively, Click here to print a Buyer Registration Card that you can pre-complete and immediately take to the counter together with your photo id to obtain your buyer number on view or auction day. By filling in this form you agree to the Terms and Conditions of Auction Sale written on the form. You will need to provide photographic identification to register, you may use either your current Australian drivers' licence or passport. Once you have completed your details on the form take it to reception with your identification to receive your Buyer Number.
This number will allow you to bid on vehicles at any Manheim public auction being held on that day. You will need to apply for a new number for each auction location you attend. There is no cost involved in registering to bid and you are under no obligation to bid once you receive a buyer's number, however you cannot bid on a vehicle without this number.
To bid on a vehicle you must get the attention of the Auctioneer. You can do this by holding up your hand or waving your buyer's number. Bidding usually increases by $500 or $1000 increments, however the Auctioneer can nominate a higher or lower amount. The rise is at the Auctioneer's discretion.
Note: You cannot withdraw a bid once you have made it. If your bid is successful you will be requested to hold up your buyer's number.
After successfully bidding you will be required to approach a Manheim Deposit Clerk, located in each auction lane, who will require a minimum 10% deposit or $500.00 (whichever is greater) in the form of cash, EFTPOS, debit card, credit card (VISA or Mastercard only - processing fee applies) or bank cheque.

A reserve price is placed on most vehicles. A reserve price is the amount the seller would like to achieve for the vehicle.
